Hi Guys, Being a self proclaimed YouTube junkie I just love all the crafty tutorials and I am subscribed to the wonderful and talented Dawn! http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/ Today Dawn had a Faux Metal tutorial today and I've been wanting to try this technique for ever! I've read lots of different instructions but I'm a visual person so I was soooooo happy when I saw Dawn's video, that when I finished watching it I got out all my supplies and had a go! It was super easy and the end results are just stunning! I have a workshop next Saturday(23rd Aug)and I'm going to show how to do this as the ladies will flip over this lol! So here's my card, a little 3" X 3" card: and a close up of the Faux Metal medallion: Turned out great, I think lol! All Products used By Stampin' Up! ~Season Of Joy Stamp Set ~Real Red Card Stock ~Silver Embossing Powder ~Versamark Ink ~Heat Gun, Paper Piercer and Dimensionals ~1 1/4", 1 3/8" and scallop Circle Punches ~Real Red Double Stitched Ribbon Here's Dawn's video if you want to give it a go!
Thank you Dawn for your inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping bye! Take care, Keep Smiling and have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, ~Kylie~
So I made a video lol! Hi Guys, Hope your well. I couldn't sleep the other night and there was not even a good movie on telly(usually there's an old black and white one on channel 2)so I thought I'll do something totally different and make a video! It was fun to make, it took over 20 minutes but I double speed it in windows movie maker and if only you could do this in real life, just think of all the things you could get up to lol! Thanks for watching, Take Care Hugs, ~Kylie~ XX
PS:You can also use your corner rounder the round the 2 corners on the flap and you can also use Stampin' Up's! Designer Series Paper, when you use the DSP the card pouch looks amazing with the matching cards inside! Of course you can embellish the flap with ribbon, punched out stamped shapes, brads etc, now they do look stunning if you do it this way lol! Thanks for stopping by! ~Kylie~
Hi guys, I am going to confess my guilty secret, I love YouTube lol! I love checking out the strange, unusual, funny, informative, sad and drama filled videos. But the best thing is all the crafty tutorials. I found one that takes you through making a chocolate box, but you could use this little box for any small gift and the instructions the lady gives is so easy to follow. So Here is my version. I used Pretty In pink card stock Purely Pomegranate Card stock Berry Bliss DSP Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon Scallop, 1 3/8, 1 1/4 circle punches Silver brad Itty Bitty background stamp set Versamark Ink Dimensionals I was quite happy how it turned out and I think it's cute lol! So I'm going to post the video from YouTube so you can watch it if you want to give it a go! While I'm here I'm going to have a little brag lol. I ordered the Crop-A-Dile and some other goodies on Thursday afternoon(22nd may)and my goodies were shipped the next day and about 10:00am this morning, my wonderful postie brought my goodies! How good is that!!! So you know what I'll be doing this afternoon! You just gotta love Stampin' Up! I hope you enjoy the video! Have a wonderful week! Till next time, Hugs ~Kylie~
