A Few Christmas Cards

Hi Guys,

I hope your well and your week is going great!

I Just 'popped' in to share with you a few Christmas cards that I have made, but I'm soooooooo behind in all my Christmas preparations lol, there's never enough hours in the day lol!

Here's my first card which I will call 'Dasher' lol:

I have used Stampin' Up!'s 'Dasher' Stamp and have place a AnnaBelle Stamps Mini Cherry Sprinkle on his nose so now 'Dasher' has become 'Rudolph' lol!

My colour combo is Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Whisper white and I sponged the edges with some Chocolate Chip Ink.

For my embellishments I used a piece of White web/net ribbon and a tied a piece of Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon around the net ribbon and tie in a knot.

I used SU!'s Short and Sweet Stamp Set and used the 'Very Merry' sentiment and made a tag and I also sponged around the tag edge.

To finish off I placed two Gold hanging bells on some Gold thread for something fun lol!

Here's my second card which I will call 'Glittery Flakes' lol!

For this card I used SU!'s 'Winter Post' Stamp Set and used the snow flake stamp and stamp the snowflake in Night Of Navy and Baja Breeze Ink onto my whisper White panel.

I then covered my stamped panel in Versamark ink and sprinkled on some heat and stick powder and heat this up using a heat gun and while still warm I then sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamonds glitter(both from SU!)tapped of the excess and used the heat gun in a short burst to set the glitter into the heat and stick powder.

I then placed my glittery panel on my Baja Breeze panel then onto my Night of Navy panel and tied some Baja Breeze stripped grosgrain ribbon and placed the layered panels onto my Baja Breeze card base.

To finish off, I made a little tag using a scallop oval and a oval punch and stamped my sentiment from SU!'s 'Best Yet' Stamp set in Night Of Navy Ink and tied the tag onto the ribbon using some Silver thread.

so that's 2 cards down and several more to go and I have a horrible feeling I wont get there lol, I wonder if we can postpone Christmas for another few weeks roflol!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you again on Friday for a card for AnnaBelle Stamps!

Till then, Take care and Keep Smiling,

Vintage Christmas Cards

Hi Guys,

Hope you all had an awesome weekend and all ready to start a brand new week(I'm not anyway lol)

My mojo went on a little walk about but I was itching to get some crafting done, so I surfed the net and came across some vintage/ephemera images that were free to use for personal use so I downloaded a few and print them out and had a go at making a couple of Christmas cards and this is what I came up with

Card One Uses a Vintage looking Santa, so I wanted to keep the 'old look' so I used the Cracked/stain glass technique using 5 layers of Versamak and UTEE, then placing the image into the freezer for 10/15mins, then gently 'crack' the card stock to get my desired look.

I didn't want to overload my card with embellishments so I used some yummy Red velvet ribbon with a piece of Hodgepodge hardware ribbon slide and 3 matching brads.

Card two is an image that 'popped' out to me as it re-mined me of picture of myself when I was about 4 years old at Christmas time with holly in my hair and a pretty White dress, I showed my Mum and she was spun out lol, so I LOVE this image and once again I used the cracked/stain glass look.

Once again I kept the embellishment simple, for this card I used some Gold cord and wrapped it around the images and tied it off in a bow in the bottom left hand corner.

I was quite happy with how my cards turned out and I can't believe there was no stamping involved and how quick and easy the cards were to make. so I'm going to make up a few more lol!

If you like the images and want to give these cards ago or something similar, just send me an e-mail and I'll be more then happy to e-mail you the pics!

Thanks so much for dropping by. Have a wonderful week and I'll see you again soon. Till then, Take Care, Hugs and Smiles,
~Kylie~

A few more Christmas cards!

Hi, I hope your all well and happy! Sorry it's been awhile, I've been doing lots of creating, well sort off lol, it's been quite warm here in Adelaide and it's not much fun doing 'crafty' things when it's hot but I've been making more Christmas card and altering paint cans(new ones, got great deals on them as hubby works in the trade so get them next to nothing)and put different lollies in them. All up I'll be making 21 cans 4 2 litres and 17 1 liters. I'm very happy how they have turned out, I'm still finishing of a few. The hardest part is when your putting the lollies in the tin and trying not to sneak a lolly or two or three lol! Then all I have to do then is wrap them in clear cello and some curling ribbon! I'm also making post-it-note covers and altered bull dog clips(I hope to have them finished soon and I'll post some pics).

I'm really happy as I've also been making some Criss Cross Cards(You can find the instructions from the great splitcoaststampers web site)I thought they would be hard but they are really easy and I'm hooked lol! I'll stop raving on as you must be borded to death lol! Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look! Till next time take care, keep smiling and happy crafting ~Kylie~
