Vintage Christmas Cards

Hi Guys,

Hope you all had an awesome weekend and all ready to start a brand new week(I'm not anyway lol)

My mojo went on a little walk about but I was itching to get some crafting done, so I surfed the net and came across some vintage/ephemera images that were free to use for personal use so I downloaded a few and print them out and had a go at making a couple of Christmas cards and this is what I came up with

Card One Uses a Vintage looking Santa, so I wanted to keep the 'old look' so I used the Cracked/stain glass technique using 5 layers of Versamak and UTEE, then placing the image into the freezer for 10/15mins, then gently 'crack' the card stock to get my desired look.

I didn't want to overload my card with embellishments so I used some yummy Red velvet ribbon with a piece of Hodgepodge hardware ribbon slide and 3 matching brads.

Card two is an image that 'popped' out to me as it re-mined me of picture of myself when I was about 4 years old at Christmas time with holly in my hair and a pretty White dress, I showed my Mum and she was spun out lol, so I LOVE this image and once again I used the cracked/stain glass look.

Once again I kept the embellishment simple, for this card I used some Gold cord and wrapped it around the images and tied it off in a bow in the bottom left hand corner.

I was quite happy with how my cards turned out and I can't believe there was no stamping involved and how quick and easy the cards were to make. so I'm going to make up a few more lol!

If you like the images and want to give these cards ago or something similar, just send me an e-mail and I'll be more then happy to e-mail you the pics!

Thanks so much for dropping by. Have a wonderful week and I'll see you again soon. Till then, Take Care, Hugs and Smiles,
~Kylie~
