Scrapbook Layout

Today I did a super quick and easy layout. It took me about 10-15 mins. The photo is about a year old, that's how behind I am at my scrapbooking lol!

The pic is of me and my hubby Peter with out son's, Connor is next to his dad and Matthew. I did this layout to put in Matthew's album(I'm trying to do albums for the boys, but it's going to be a big job and at the moment it's feeling like a chore so I thought I'll just scrap about 10-15 photos per year so they can see the changes in themselfs and just to document their lives)

On this layout I used Autumn Leaves card stock, I love the colours and the swirls! 5 flowers in total 1 brown, 3 green and 1 orange. I got these from my local scrapbook store(Scrapbook station) so I'm not to sure of the brand! I poped a Making Memories crystal brad in the centre of the flowers and used Heidi Swapp Chipboard letters and some scrap ribbon! I don't think I neededd to add alot of embellishments as the pattern of the paper was enough as the wording in the paper said it all, Love, Memories, Laugh, Savor, Live, Enjoy!

So that's my lastest creation, I'm now working on some christmas decorations and a few cards(It's just finding the time lol!)

Thanks for stopping and having a look! Take care and keep smiling :-)

Shopping!

I've had a fun weekend this weekend! I've been busy shopping for card stock, embellishments, anything scrapbooking or for card making lol! I only go out to the scrapbooking/craft shops twice a month so there's always something new and something I just have to have lol!
I brought some lovely scrapbooking paper by K&Company. The christmas baubles and trees paper are lovely with glitter for that touch of sparkle and I got some matching bazzill card stock(The colours are just amazing in real life!) I was thinking of making some cards with these great paper!
I also got the matching K&Company adhesive chipboard, they are so pretty, they have glitter and jems for detail I loved them so much that I got three packets lol! Some clearly yours stickers, I though they'll be great for gift tags, glitter stickers in the most beautiful shade of green and a packet of card stock die-cuts, they are stunning you get 130 two of each design and the detail is great and some have glitter detail.
Also when I was out and about I got some Doodlebug tabs alphabet stickers and a pkt of doodlebug snowflake buttons, kaisercraft beyond the page christmas tree album, kaisercraft jems(love my bling lol)bella large white flowers(10 pkt)Bazzill blossoms, and 2 packets of jems clear a very soft shade of green.
I also brought some clear Christmas stamps which are really cute but I forgot to take a pic of them. I also brought some lovely ribbon, foam pads, acetate and last but not least some paint!
Now all I have to do is find the time and create. Might have to do my creating late at night when the boys are asleep. I have so many ideas going through my mind I don't know where to start lol! I just can't wait!!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by I'm off to make a card or two lol! Take care and keep smiling

My First Post!

Hi,
I thought I'll start a blog and share my passion of card making and handicrafts.
This is all new to me so it might take me a few days or even weeks to get the hang of everything lol!
I hope to update my blog once a week(don't hold me to it lol)and show and tell you what I have been creating.

It's October so I've been making christmas cards and I'll post a pic soon of some of the cards that I have created.

I'll be making handmade gifts for my family and friends this year so I'm thinking of different things like photo slideshows of my brothers and their families, altered scrapbooking items like lunch tins, calendars, albums and the list goes on and on lol!

I'll say good-bye for now and I'm so sorry for any spelling mistakes and for any bad grammer, it's not my strongest suit lol!

Till next time Take care and keep smiling

(((hugs)))

The above pic is a mini provo craft lunch tin altered with kaisercraft paper, making memories dragonfly metal charm, prima flowers, gems for a bit of bling and scrap ribbon. This was my first tin and I was quite pleased with the end result!
