Tag Swap # 1

Hi Guys,
I hope your all well!

I just want to share with you all some tags that I have made for a couple of tag swaps that I'm in. These are my first international swaps that I have been involved in and I quite enjoyed my self.

My first lot of tags that I made are for Marie's tag swap at The Pretty Paper Boutique(Marie's works is so stunning and Marie makes the most beautiful Vintage creations that are truly works of art)and the theme was 'Vintage Lady' and 'Distressing' and for a added challenge you could add lace or a doily or both, I just took on the one challenge and added a little lace lol!

I wanted to print out my Vintage Ladies onto some Glossy Paper and use some Alcohol Inks but my printer had other ideas lol so I had to make do with some Vanilla Card Stock lol!

So here's my tags~'Vintage Lady'~

and here's a pic with all the tags

I made the silk and feather lollipop flowers with some satin material and some of my smaller nesties dies.
I tried to make these flowers before and had a small little fire(I set a circle of material on fire as I was a little careless and dropped it into my scrap basket and ended with a teeny tiny fire lol)as you need to run a lighter around your satin circles and I was determined to make these and I was so happy that they turned out right lol!

I used some distressing inks in Walnut Stain and tea dye, a Prima Script Stamp, a edge distresser, Black Stazon Ink, Black Lace, Some Cream Rose Organza Ribbon and I think Prima makes this, varies ribbons from my stash, Little Black Safety Pins, Jump Rings, Love Heart Charms, some Black Tiny Pearls, Black and Silver Gems from Bella. I also used a little Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist and a Paint Brush to add a touch of colour in the ladies flowers.

I really wanted to add a few more embellishments but I left it a little plain as I was worried that they might get damaged in the post lol so I do hope the other ladies in my group like my tag, I'm a little nervous as this is about my second or third tag I have made lol!

During the week, I'll post my other tag for other swap I was in so I hope you can call back then lol!
Thanks so much for stopping by, Till next time Have a wonderful week, Take Care, Hugs and Smiles,
~Kylie~

'Congratulations'

Hi Guys,

Hope your all doing well and the start of your week has been a creative one lol!
I just want to share with you a Vintage looking Congratulations card.

I'll show you my card first and fill you in on the details about the card etc lol!
So here's my card, sorry the photo isn't the best lol

Now to cut a long story short without raving on lol!
As some of you might know, I'm a YouTube junkie, I love to watch all sort of video tutorials and try my best to have a go. Well I came across a AWESOME YT video tutorial that shows you how to make these silk vintage looking flowers that's on my card.
You cut out your silk circles using nestabilities circle dies or a sizzix circle die, layer them and then you get a lighter and carefully go around your circles gently melting the silk, place a little lace down the bottom and place some pearls, beads or gems in to the centre.
Well I tried to do this and nearly burnt the house down so I thought I better not try and make any more lol!
So I was so happy that Arlene(Check out Arlene's blog OMG, talk about stunning creations)was selling these handmade flowers in packs, so I took the cheats way out and brought some lol and I kid you not, they are STUNNING and look a lot better in person!

I used Graphic 45 Paper from the Le Romantique Collection, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black and Groovy Gava Card Stock from Stampin' Up!, Oval Nestabilities dies, Cream Pearl Sprinkles from AnnaBelle Stamps, Black Embossing Powder and my sentiment came from a pack of 15 different sentiments and is a clear stamp set and I picked up this set for 99 cents from Target and I was shocked at how well they stamped lol and of course Arlene's Vintage Silk Flowers!

You jut got to love the Internet, it's full of inspiration and at time it's a little overwhelming with ideas, if you know what I mean roflol!

Thanks so much for stopping by and putting up with my bad grammar and ravings lol! Till next time, take care, hugs and smiles,
~Kylie~

Here's the video on how to make the silk flowers if you want to give it a go! The artist in this video is AWESOME and makes the most stunning Vintage creations!
Enjoy!

Just Add Ink Challenge # 5 ~ DIMENSION

Hi Guys,

I hope your week is going great!
I just want to share with you my creation for Just Add Ink's Challenge and this week it's all about Dimension!
I decided not to do a card and do a tag this week, tags seem to be the 'in' thing at the moment so I though I'll give it a go...

So here's my creation

I think it turned out pretty good for my first go and gee I used lots of different products to create this tag, I got ink and fibers everywhere and I so enjoyed making it and I've got stained inky fingers to prove it roflol!

So here's a list of the products I used...
~Stampin' Up, French Script(retired) and Friends 24-7 Stamp Sets, Clear Embossing Powder and Jumbo Eyelets
~Bella, White Tags.
~Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists in Coffee Shop, Red Velvet, Vintage Pink and Pearl. My lace, fibers, flowers and tags were white and it is so shimmery and the photo dose not show it lol!
~Tim Holtz Swivel Clasp, Adage Tickets and Distressed Inks in Walnut Stain and Tea Dye.
~Making Memories Metal Lace Brad in Copper.
~Fibers, Flowers, Ribbon, Leaf and Crown Charm unknown and from my stash lol.
~Vintage Image downloaded from the net and used with permission.

I used my Aqua Painter and Red Velvet Glimmer Mist and added some colour to her lips and they are so shiny and the 'Adore' ticket, flowers and my vintage lady are all popped up using 3D foam.

Give a tag a go, once you made one you'll be hooked lol and just send me an e-mail(link on the right side of my blog) if you want to know where I got my vintage image from and I'll send you the link!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your week! Till next time, Take Care, Hugs and Smiles,
~Kylie~
