'Congratulations'

Hi Guys,

Hope your all doing well and the start of your week has been a creative one lol!
I just want to share with you a Vintage looking Congratulations card.

I'll show you my card first and fill you in on the details about the card etc lol!
So here's my card, sorry the photo isn't the best lol

Now to cut a long story short without raving on lol!
As some of you might know, I'm a YouTube junkie, I love to watch all sort of video tutorials and try my best to have a go. Well I came across a AWESOME YT video tutorial that shows you how to make these silk vintage looking flowers that's on my card.
You cut out your silk circles using nestabilities circle dies or a sizzix circle die, layer them and then you get a lighter and carefully go around your circles gently melting the silk, place a little lace down the bottom and place some pearls, beads or gems in to the centre.
Well I tried to do this and nearly burnt the house down so I thought I better not try and make any more lol!
So I was so happy that Arlene(Check out Arlene's blog OMG, talk about stunning creations)was selling these handmade flowers in packs, so I took the cheats way out and brought some lol and I kid you not, they are STUNNING and look a lot better in person!

I used Graphic 45 Paper from the Le Romantique Collection, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black and Groovy Gava Card Stock from Stampin' Up!, Oval Nestabilities dies, Cream Pearl Sprinkles from AnnaBelle Stamps, Black Embossing Powder and my sentiment came from a pack of 15 different sentiments and is a clear stamp set and I picked up this set for 99 cents from Target and I was shocked at how well they stamped lol and of course Arlene's Vintage Silk Flowers!

You jut got to love the Internet, it's full of inspiration and at time it's a little overwhelming with ideas, if you know what I mean roflol!

Thanks so much for stopping by and putting up with my bad grammar and ravings lol! Till next time, take care, hugs and smiles,
~Kylie~

Here's the video on how to make the silk flowers if you want to give it a go! The artist in this video is AWESOME and makes the most stunning Vintage creations!
Enjoy!
